Eugene Invites Fans to Duck Downtown During Home Game Weekends
Eugene, Ore. - This Friday, September 4, Eugene kicks off Duck Downtown pre-game events. Held on each Friday night before a home football game, Duck Downtown celebrates Duck pride and the excitement of a spirited football community.
"Oregon Duck fans are legendary. We're known for our noise and sell-out crowds at Autzen Stadium. Now we're bringing it all downtown," says Kari Westlund, President and CEO of Travel Lane County.
Events this Friday center around the corner of Willamette and 7th Ave at the new HiFi Music Lounge from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The schedule includes:
• 5:00 p.m. - Performance by On the Rocks
• 6:00 p.m. - Appearance by The Duck, UO Drum Line, UO Cheer Squad and the Duck Truck
• 6:30 p.m. - Visit participating downtown merchants for a free tote
Downtown Eugene will be a hub of activity Friday night with Fiesta Cultural in Kesey Square from 5:30 - 8 p.m. featuring a salsa dance party with live music, contemporary Latino art and food vendors. Lane Arts Council will also host the First Friday ArtWalk with a bilingual guided tour of the galleries.
Getting downtown for the festivities is easy with Lane Transit District. Residents and visitors can ride LTD system wide for free after 5 p.m. for safe and convenient transportation every Duck Downtown Friday.

FREE LTD BUS SERVICE: All fans can ride to and from Duck Downtown events on Fridays after 5 p.m. for free.
GAME TRAINS: Fans from outside the region can enjoy special Game Train fares on Amtrak Cascades. Amtrak is offering discounted round-trip tickets between Eugene and both Portland and Seattle. Game Train ticket holders can ride the Lane Transit District's (LTD) bus system free all weekend.
