Published: January 04, 2018

RV Industry Growth Continues to Set Records

Junction City, Ore - Once a hotbed for recreational vehicle manufacturing, Lane County experienced rough times as the economic downturn forced industry changes. Fueled by a surge in sales across the county, Lane County is seeing growth in sales, servicing and manufacturing of recreational vehicles.

The Guaranty RV Travel Center & RV Park is now welcoming guests to its RV park. The park features 55 paved spaces with full hook-ups and 36 of these are pull-through spaces. Wireless internet access is available throughout the park, dump stations are on-site, an outdoor pavilion is available for large groups and a pet area awaits your furry friends. The park is within walking distance of the Guaranty RV Travel Center, which offers RV parts & service, a cafe, propane sales and an indoor laundry room. Guaranty continues to evolve a business model that includes premium products and services for their RV customers and guests. "Guaranty's RV Park adds a needed asset for Lane County visitors and will provide a advantageous platform for Guaranty to maximize their South Willamette Valley winery tours," commented Travel Lane County President/CEO Kari Westlund.

When asked about the new RV Park, Guaranty RV President Shannon Nill noted, "The Guaranty RV Park is conveniently located minutes from I-5 and offers several unique services for an RV Park such as factory authorized warranty repair and parts, café and grocery on site including growler fill station, as well as a mobile pet groomer. We couldn’t be more thrilled with how well it has turned out.”

Guaranty RV ParkThe Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s (RVIA) November survey of manufacturers noted RV wholesale shipments were the best November on comparable record.  An increase of nearly 18% for the first eleven months of 2017.  While towable trailers led the way, motorhome shipments increased 16.5% for the month and are up 14.5% for the period. A 2016 study of the recreation vehicle industry revealed the RV industry contributed 5,794 full-time jobs and $1.7 Billion to Oregon’s economy! President of the Oregon RV Alliance Brad Waring noted that, "much of the industry's growth is being fueled by a shift in the average age of RV purchasers. Over the last ten years the average age of an RV owner was 49 and today the fastest growing segment of RV customers is 35-44."
