Guide to Local Adventure Arrives in Time for the Holiday Weekend

Published: July 07, 2015

Eugene, Ore. - The latest edition of Travel Lane County's popular, Eugene, Cascades & Coast Adventure Guide is now available for free at all Travel Lane County and Dari Mart locations. The ten routes featured in the guide highlight the diversity of things to see and do in Lane County, many within an hour's drive of Eugene - Springfield. Now locals and visitors can simply choose a route and pick activities to explore along the way.

Travel Lane County staff picked from the hundreds of local favorites, one-of-a-kind locations and routes in the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region to create a guide that will inspire those new to the area and longtime residents alike.

"Our Adventure Specialists are thrilled to have this piece updated and available for guests" says Kelly Wilkes, Director of Visitor Services at Travel Lane County. "With so many options for people to choose from in the area it is great to offer people an itinerary specific to any direction they are headed."

Updating and reprinting the Adventure Guide was made possible with support from Dari Mart. As a local company with stores throughout Lane, Linn and Benton counties, Dari Mart is an ideal partner for this project. Located in neighborhoods around the community, people often start or end their adventures at one of their stores.

"Dari Mart is pleased to help make this guide to exploring our beautiful area" says Pat Straube of Dari Mart. "Now visitors or locals can stop in to pick up the Adventure Guide along with picnic and road trip supplies before heading out on a summer adventure. I've already used the guide to explore the Aufderheide and plan to do more!"

In addition to Dari Mart and Travel Lane County locations, guides are also available at community events on MIKE the Bike, Travel Lane County's bike visitor center. This weekend MIKE the Bike will be at Art & The Vineyard in Eugene as well as Creswell's Fourth of July Celebration. Next week the bike visitor center will be deep in McKenzie River Lavender's fields at the Lavender Festival, July 10-12.
