New Hotel in Glenwood Opens in Time for Duck Football Weekend
Eugene & Springfield, Ore. - The Candlewood Suites in Glenwood is set to open its doors today. Located east of the new Interstate-5 bridge on Franklin Blvd., and just minutes from the University of Oregon, hotel officials and owners are pleased to have received the official green light to open just in time to welcome football fans.
"We want to get the word out that we are open and ready to welcome guests," said Phillip Cooper, Director of Sales for the Candlewood Suites. "With so many visitors coming in for the home football games, it's the perfect opportunity to let fans know that there's a brand new lodging option in the local area."
Located at 3005 Franklin Blvd., just one block from the EMX bus stop, football fans can take a short bus trip to the Riverfront Parkway, which connects with the Autzen footbridge.
The new Candlewood Suites property will bring 87 rooms to the local area and becomes Glenwood's first major hotel property of its kind. The groundbreaking took place nearly one year ago on August 15, 2013. Following today's soft opening, hotel owners will announce plans for a grand opening within the next few weeks.
Visitors interested in making a room reservation, may call the hotel at 541-683-8000 or 541-991-8775. More information about the property is available online at CandlewoodSuites.com.
