New Hyatt Place Hotel Coming to Eugene

Eugene, Ore. -
Construction on a new 124-room Hyatt Place hotel started in January 2015 at the Oakway Center in Eugene. Oakway Center, located just north of Eugene's downtown core, is home to a variety of specialty restaurants and retail establishments from homegrown favorites like Nike and the Eugene Running Company to popular retailers like Pottery Barn and Nordstrom Rack. The hotel will be part of an eight-story building going in on the west side of the Oakway Center property, which will include additional retail space along with parking. It will become the second Hyatt Hotel in the state of Oregon, and the first in Eugene.

The new Hyatt Place will occupy the top three floors of the new building. The hotel will have a horseshoe shaped design with a retail level motor lobby leading to a main lobby, and a rooftop plaza available to hotel guests and shoppers. It will also include meeting space, a swimming pool, exercise facility, breakfast service, and a bar. A three-story parking structure will be located on the levels below the hotel, with a total of 350 spaces available to guests and shoppers.

InnSight Hotel Management Group, a full-service, award-winning hotel management company headquartered in Springfield, Oregon, will manage the new property. Construction of the hotel is expected to take 13 months, and should open in Fall 2016.
