FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Professional Disc Golf Association
Major Event Coming to Eugene
400-500 Professional and Amateur Disc Golfers Coming to Eugene

Eugene, OR - The Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) has awarded Eugene, OR, the bid to host the 2023 PDGA Tim Selinske US Masters Championships to be held May 25-28, 2023. The local team is partnering with the Eugene, Cascades & Coast Sports Commission to host the event. This will be the first PDGA Major to be hosted in Eugene.

The local organizing committee is comprised of several experienced tournament directors and avid players, and the support from the surrounding community is fantastic. Sponsorship negotiations are well underway with well-known companies in the Eugene area.

The last time US Masters was run on the Western side of the country was back in 2016 in Stockton, CA, so awarding the event to Eugene presents an excellent opportunity for US PDGA members on the west coast. The varied course set and the strength of the organizing team are to be highlighted in 2023.

The competition will offer qualified, age-based players the opportunity to compete for a major title and enjoy the culture and diversity of the Pacific Northwest and Eugene, Oregon.

Various sponsorship levels are available for local businesses to be involved in this historical event.
