The Best in the Northwest Compete in the DK Gold Cup Championship Final Northwest!

Eugene, Ore. – September 16 - 18, 2016 Emerald Valley BMX will host the DK Gold Cup Championship Final Northwest, a national race that brings top riders to the track from surrounding states and Canada. 

The ADMISSION-FREE DK Gold Cup race will feature riders of all ages and skill level. Jason Germyn, Track Operator of Emerald Valley BMX says,  

“BMX is great family sport. We have kids as young as three years old riding the track as well as races filled with moms and dads. It’s a terrific community and we’re very fortunate to be hosting the Gold Cup here at Emerald Valley. We encourage anyone interested in learning more about BMX to come and check out this race. It’s free to watch and will be a really fun time!”

Emerald Valley BMX is offering FREE ANNUAL MEMBERSHIPS ($60 value) to brand new riders who come to watch the Gold Cup race on Saturday, September 17. Sign-up at the information booth next to the concessions stand. Limited number available on a first-come basis.

What:              DK Gold Cup Championship Final Northwest

When:             Friday, September 16, Racing starts at 5:00 PM

                        Saturday, September 17, Racing starts at 11:30 AM

                        Sunday, September 18, Racing starts at 8:00 AM

Where: Emerald Valley BMX, 2715 Leo Harris Parkway (Across from Autzen Stadium east parking lot.)

FREE New Rider Clinic:   On Sunday September 11, new Riders will be introduced to this fun and fast-moving Olympic sport of BMX.  New Rider Clinic Details: 


What:  Free class designed to help beginner riders learn some basics of riding the track. 

When:  Sunday, September 11,  11:30 AM - 1:30 PM. 

Where: Emerald Valley BMX, 2715 Leo Harris Parkway (Across from Autzen Stadium parking lot.)

Details: Riders need to be wearing long pants, long sleeves, and a helmet. Any type of bike is alright for beginners however, please remove pegs from trick bikes. New riders will need to fill out a complimentary one-day USA BMX guest membership.
