Travel Lane County Hires New Director of Partner Development

Eugene, Ore. - Travel Lane County is pleased to welcome Maxine Walton as the new Director of Partner Development.

Walton's main responsibilities will include membership recruitment and retention, securing event and sports sponsorships, and selling tourism-related advertising opportunities.

Walton has more than 30 years of sales, marketing and management experience. She previously worked as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Willamette Stationers. Walton also served on Travel Lane County's board of directors for 20 years, where she held various offices including board chair.

She is a member of the Oregon Club and has formerly served on numerous committees and boards, including the Emerald Executive Association, Women's Business Network, Daisy Ducks, The Very Little Theatre and the Lane County Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Travel Lane County is a private, nonprofit association dedicated to economic development through visitor spending. In 2013 visitors to Lane County generated more than $575.7 million in spending for Lane County's economy and supported 8,510 jobs.
