Travel Lane County Honors Industry Award Winners 

 
 

Eugene, Ore. – Travel Lane County honored a host of individuals and organizations that make the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region a premiere destination for visitors and a fantastic place for those of us who call it home.  The 2017 Visitor Industry Celebration was hosted at Venue 252 and celebrated Outdoor Adventure! Travel Lane County President & CEO Kari Westlund updated attendees on the state of the industry, highlighting that Lane County recorded over $672 million in direct visitor spending in 2016. Author William L. Sullivan entertained the audience with an enchanting history of Lane County's early pioneers and a picturesque tour of the best of the best hiking throughout the region.

Presented to a business or individual who, through their efforts, have excelled in promoting the community and the Eugene, Cascades & Coast as a visitor destination. 

Destination Award Criteria

  • Unique - their very presence creates a reason the visitor visits our community.
  • Efforts and promotions have increased outside awareness and made our area more visible.
  • Growth and success benefits and enhances the image of the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region.
