New Staff Join the Team

Eugene, OR - Travel Lane County Vice-President of Tourism Marketing, Natalie Inouye, was recognized at the Oregon Governor's Conference on Tourism in Bend, Ore. on April 30, 2018. The Oregon Tourism Leadership Award honors individuals who champion the value of tourism and whose leadership behind the scenes contributes significantly to the recognition and impact of Oregon's travel and tourism industry. Inouye has dedicated 30 years to our industry, working at the local, regional and state level. During her time at Travel Lane County, she has served in leadership roles for the Willamette Valley Visitors Association, the Oregon Coast Visitor’s Association’s marketing committee and Chaired the Oregon Scenic Bikeways Committee.

Denise Ray
Travel Lane County  welcomed Denise Ray into her role as Director of Finance and Operations on May 1, 2018.

Denise comes to Travel Lane County from Amax Nutrasource, Inc., where she was the controller for nearly two years. Her extensive work background is matched by her educational background, which includes a B.S. in biology from New Mexico State University and an M.B.A. from Colorado Technical University Online.  

Travel Lane County also welcomed two new Brand Ambassadors to its Visitor Services team. Cassandra Sturos comes to us with a Bachelor's degree from Northern Michigan University and an extensive background as a staff writer for several publications. Tiffany Ottem is a local product, having received her A.A. from Lane Community College and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oregon. 

Travel Lane County brand Ambassadors work at the Adventure Center in Springfield and staff fairs and festivals throughout the region. While staffing these events, Brand Ambassadors  provide visitor information and highlight the community through social media posts. Additionally they will gather  photo assets and write content focusing on the unique communities that comprise our region.
