Travel Lane County's New Adventure Specialist

Emily Scherer Joins Visitor Services

Springfield, Ore - After attending Marist High School, where she was named a National Merit Commended Scholar, Emily Scherer began taking college courses while working in the hospitality industry in Bend, Oregon.

"Emily's education and prior hospitality experience, together with her experience as an office assistant at Springfield Buick, is a perfect fit for us," noted Carrie Hawks, Travel Lane County Visitor Services Manager.

Emily will act as lead Adventure Specialist and Office Assistant at the Eugene, Cascades & Coast Adventure Center. Adventure Specialists assist visitors and locals by developing travel itineraries that meet their interests, selling necessary permits, providing tips on what's happening throughout Lane County, and much more.  

As a past member of the Ski Patrol Youth, you might ask Emily about skiing in Lane County!
