Eugene — Officials with United Airlines announced today new air service between Eugene and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD).
The once-daily service will feature two-class service on a regional jet, with the first flight from Eugene on June 6th, 2019.
“We are thrilled with the addition of nonstop service to Chicago O’Hare, one of the top destinations in demand for the Eugene market” said Eugene Airport Director Tim Doll, A.A.E. “With the addition of LAX service coming in the spring, and now Chicago starting in the summer. United Airlines is making a significant impact in our local commercial air service.”
The daily nonstop service to ORD is a red-eye and will be offered year-round on Embraer E175 jets. The Chicago-bound flight departs Eugene at 11:40 p.m. and arrives in Chicago at 5:15 a.m. (all times local).
The new roundtrip service to Chicago is in addition to the recently announced new twice-daily direct air service to Los Angeles International Airport starting on March 31, 2019.
“We are focused on giving our customers more reasons to choose to fly United Airlines,” said Ankit Gupta, United’s vice president of Domestic Network Planning and Scheduling in a statement released today.
