Experience Water Activities Close to Home

Eugene, OR - Eager to get out and have an amazing summer experience? Lane County has you covered with an exciting line-up of water activities that will fit your budget, keep your family safe and create lifelong memories.

How many local residents know that jet boat excursions are available from two area businesses. Two Rivers Jet Boat Tours and Scenic Jet Boat Tours are offering exciting outings on the McKenzie and Willamette rivers. From an hour up to two and a half hour trips are available and pricing discounts are available for children.

Maybe your interest is being a close to the water and being an active adventure participant. Our rafting partners have everything from gentle floats to exciting whitewater trips along area rivers. Long-time rafting and fishing experts, A. Helfrich Outfitter provide half day or full day adventures along the scenic McKenzie River and they are offering all trips at a 21% discount. Our newest rafting partner, Cascades Outdoor Center is located at the historic Westfir Lodge and Mountain Market along the North Fork of the Middle Fork of the Willamette River. With trips along the upper Middle Fork and the lower Middle Fork of the Willamette River these floats are relatively unknown to locals and visitors to Lane County, but offer spectacular scenery and will create lasting memories.

With eight rivers, 249 lakes and direct access to the Pacific Ocean, the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region is a sports fishing paradise. Go fishing in Oregon for trophy-size bass, Sturgeon, Pacific Halibut, Rainbow Trout, Chinook salmon and the celebrated Steelhead. Learn the art of fly tying and casting at a local fly fishing shop. Discover the best fishing holes with local guides who have grown up fishing Oregon's rivers, streams, lakes and ocean coastline. Check out these choices for taking a trip this week:

Our final guided water activity offers leisurely floats in a McKenzie river drift boat down the McKenzie or Willamette Rivers. Riparian Tours offers half or full day guided eco-tours to learn all about the history, watersheds, plant and animal life and conservation efforts.

For all those DIY folks, Oregon Paddle Sports is the region's go to source for great gear and expert advice. This comprehensive water sports specialty store is located in West Eugene. They have everything you need for a fun and safe day on the water. Rent or buy canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, rafts, inflatable kayaks, river tubes, whitewater kayaks, fishing kayaks and accessories.
