Eugene, Ore. - The San Francisco Chronicle's Annual Wine Competition is billed as "The Largest Competition of American Wines in the World" and based on the hundreds of wines listed in their 2017 Wine Competition Medal-Winning Wines list it would be hard to argue with them. It serves as a private, nonprofit association dedicated to economic development through visitor spending, which pumped more than $633 million into Lane County, Oregon's economy in 2015.
