Wine Consultant Joins Travel Lane County Board

Eugene, Ore. -
Lorrie Normann, owner of Winery Speak Consulting Services and co-owner of Wine Events Oregon, has been appointed to Travel Lane County's Board of Directors. Normann is set to serve in an at-large position for a three-year period.

Normann has more than 15 years experience in the wine industry, with emphasis in marketing, events, consulting and development. She co-owns and operates her own vineyard with her husband Eric. She most recently served as the general manager and co-creator of Sweet Cheeks Winery.

Travel Lane County has a governing board of 30 members made up of a variety of businesses, community organizations and government entities. Board members approve the annual marketing plan and budget, and provide input and policy direction as Travel Lane County works to promote the Eugene, Cascades and Coast region as a destination for leisure travel, conventions, meetings and events.

Travel Lane County is a private, nonprofit association dedicated to economic development through visitor spending. In 2011, visitors to Lane County generated more than $543 million in spending for Lane County's economy and supported 8,750 jobs.
