Oregon Truffle Festival

January 23 - 25, 2020

Oregon truffles and wine: they've helped the Willamette Valley blossom into a world-class culinary region. The Douglas fir and rich meadows of the Cascade foothills provide optimal conditions for this delicious mushroom, and every January foodies from around the world come to Eugene in search of decadent truffle immersion.

Festival Highlights

The Joriad North American Truffle Dog Championship

The Joriad takes place at the Lane Events Center with spectator-friendly truffle dog and trainer competitions in the ring. Dogs seek out truffle-scented targets while the clock ticks!

The Grand Truffle Dinner

Included in most festival packages and also available as an ala carte option, the Grand Truffle Dinner showcases Oregon's black and white truffles in an elegant six-course dinner with wine pairing. Top Northwest chefs and Oregon winemakers craft the ultimate taste experience with truffles in the star role.

Eugene Fresh Truffle Marketplace

This friendly, approachable forum is great for both the novice truffler and the avid truffle enthusiast. Mix with chefs, winemakers, truffle dog trainers, truffle farmers and foragers, and local vendors to get all your questions about Oregon's truffles answered. Shop for truffles, truffle products, wine, and artisan foods. Throughout the day there will be demonstrations, talks and tastings.

Tips for Attending

  • Purchase your tickets well in advance as the Oregon Truffle Festival often sells out early. Many of the offerings are designed for small groups and have limited capacity.
  • Event packages include many exclusive extras including foodie tours, wine pairings and field trips like truffle foraging.
  • If you are looking for a lower price point or signing up late, your best bets are attending the Joriad Truffle Championship competition and the Truffle Marketplace.
  • Fill in any meal gaps during the festival with explorations of our local food trails and locovore restaurants. The food scene in Eugene is vibrant and fun to discover.
