Culinary Schools

Lane Community College (LCC) offers an accredited culinary arts program. The two year Culinary Arts and Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management curriculum supports careers as chefs, food service managers, food prep supervisors and managers, restaurant cooks and production bakers. LCC also offers a Career Pathways Certificate Program in Baking and Pastry; Restaurant Ownership; and Meeting, Conventions and Special Events Management.

Other Schools & Classes

Oregon State University offers a Lane County Extension Service Master Food Preserver Program at various locations in Eugene. Periodic courses include exciting options including making soft cheeses, homemade condiments, pickling, canning and baking. Food safety guidelines and tips are also available via a free online library.

In Eugene there are three gourmet kitchen stores with demonstration kitchens, Provisions Market Hall, Pepperberries and Cook's Pots & Tabletops. Occasionally they host guest chefs or offer cooking classes. Local star cater Heidi Tunnell from Creswell Bakery is also another good resource.
