What to do before and after a sports event

We invite you to explore our beautiful and diverse region from the coast to the Cascades. Bring your family and friends for a little rest and relaxation -- and adventure!

Overnight Adventures or Day Trips

Oregon Coast - Only an hour from Eugene is the coastal community of Florence with miles of beautiful beaches and stunning shoreline. Dine and shop in Old Town, take a Dune buggy ride, visit picturesque Heceta Head Lighthouse and explore the region's largest sea lion cave. Stay in a seaside resort or charming bed and breakfast.

Just a little over an hour east of Eugene are the Cascade Mountains. Drive up to Oakridge for some hardcore mountain biking or shoot the rapids on the upper McKenzie River. During the summer take the family on waterfall hikes or fish mountain lakes and rivers. During the winter, go skiing or sledding at one of the many snow parks. There are many campgrounds and riverfront lodges for cozy overnights.

Head up to Oakridge for the ultimate mountain biking experience! The area is well regarded as a mountain bikers' paradise with miles of downhill dirt trails through gorgeous scenic woodlands.

Raft a river like the McKenzie! Trips can be challenging for experienced paddlers or family-friendly with oar-assist for mellow, sightseeing floats.
