Marco Azurdia from NWAC"Two years ago the NWAC took a giant leap of faith and partnered with the Eugene Cascades & Coast Sports Commission to bring our Soccer Friendlies tournament to the Willamalane Center in Springfield, Oregon. The effort, hospitality and genuine support provided by the commission is second to none. Last year 48 college soccer teams competed and this year there will be an additional 32 volleyball teams competing to make a one-of-a-kind College Indoor/Outdoor Fall Festival. Their partnership, vision, and energy has played a vital role in making this event happen." - Marco Azurdia, NWAC Executive Director (Northwest Athletic Conference) (photo courtesy of NWAC)

Vin Lananna from TrackTown USA"When TrackTown USA plays host to a large sporting event, such as the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships, or the U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials, we have come to rely on the expertise and resources of the Sports Commission to ensure that all of our key constituencies have their needs met in terms of accommodations, community outreach and other endeavors. We look forward to more collaborative efforts in the future." - Vin Lananna, President of TrackTown USA (photo courtesy of TrackTown USA)

"Travel Lane County is the best CVB I've ever worked with." - Richard Sheff of Savvy Cycling

"Fans bring that energy, they're knowledgeable, so it's a really cool place to compete" -Three-time Olympic medalist, Allyson Felix, on Historic Hayward Field (Sports Travel Magazine)

"I'm glad we have it there. It's good to go to a race knowing that people are there to watch you. Whatever the crowd gives, we give it back to them. If you go out to a meet and it's dead and no one's there to watch you, it's hard to get going. So when you look out and the crowd's full, the city's full and everyone's there to watch you, it's definitely supportive." - Olympian Wallace Spearmon on competing in Eugene (Sports Travel Magazine)
