Experience Oakridge on two wheels! Bring your mountain bike! Oakridge is officially "Mountain Bike Capital of the Northwest" Oakridge earned that title with more than 300 miles of world-class singletrack trails accessible year-round. Oakridge is home to an enthusiastic mountain biking community, including an organization called Greater Oakridge Area Trail Stewards (GOATS) who formed specifically to maintain its local trails. 

Hike Salt Creek Falls and Diamond Creek Falls waterfalls on your way to Oakridge. Salt Creek Falls Trail #3673 is an easy .5 mile (,8 km) hike with a wheelchair accessible observation point to view the falls. Diamond Creek Falls Trail #3598 also starts at the Salt Creek Falls Observation Site. Approximately 23 miles (37 km) south of Oakridge. Day use fee required.

Take a short, easy hike on the Greenwaters Park Loop Trail, cross the Middlefork Willamette and enter the longest covered bridge in Oregon, the Westfir Office Covered Bridge. Walk the lower Alpine Trail or the North Fork Trail along the river.

Stroll the Park at the Middle Fork Ranger District office and walk among the old growth trees along a nature trail that may reveal some early morels!

Stay  a few extra days and explore Oakridge at Oakridge Lodge & Uptown Bistro or Westfir Lodge & Mountain Market. Eat lunch, have latte and a locally brewed cask style beer at the Brewer’s Union Local 180 or Lion Mountain Bakery. Take a taste of locally distilled spirits at Deep Woods Distillery.

Learn about the history of Uptown in Oakridge by taking the self-guided Historic Uptown Walking Tour and visiting the Pioneer Museum (open Saturdays, 1 - 4 p.m.)

Greenwaters Park, Oakridge, Cascades, Picnic by the River

Experience the Willamette Fish Hatchery - Come play a round of miniature golf that marks the travels of a fish from the Columbia River to the ocean. Enjoy the park facilities, museum, picnic area and upland game birds! View the salmon and sturgeon and feed the trout. Self-guided tours are available every day.
