Hungry? There are great places to eat nearby! Within walking distance of Hayward Field, try McMenamins, Hey Neighbor Pizza and Prince Puckler Ice Cream. For quick foods to go and walk up windows, visit a Cafe Yumm (multiple locations), Mandy's Burgers, or Newman's Fish & Chips. For a food court atmosphere with restaurant options, visit 5th Street Public Market and Market Alley in downtown Eugene, Oakway Center in North Eugene and PublicHouse in Springfield. The beergarden. in downtown Eugene is family friendly with multiple food trucks.

Off the Track Adventures

Perhaps nothing can compete with the energy and excitement of being part of the 2023 USATF Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships. But you don't have to venture far from Hayward Field to discover some world-class experiences. After the races, make the time to explore the area. Take a dune buggy tour of the sand dunes on the coast, hike to roaring waterfalls in the mountains or just indulge in incredibly good food and drink dished up in the metro centers or the region's many small communities. Take the family river rafting, rock climbing, scavenger hunting or shopping at one of the unique markets.
