Wedding Guest Information

Welcome to the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region! We have compiled some helpful information for your visit so you can maximize your time here. With so much to do and see in the area, you may wish to plan some extra days before or after the wedding!

Start by requesting the Eugene, Cascades & Coast Official Visitor Guide. This is full of maps and local directories for hotels, restaurants and activities.

We recommend the following "must see and do" activities:

  • Tour the Sea Lion Caves (on the Oregon Coast)
  • Visit Heceta Head Lighthouse (on the Oregon Coast)
  • Shop in Historic Old Town Florence (on the Oregon Coast)
  • Take a dune buggy ride or go sandboarding (on the Oregon Coast)
  • Tour the University of Oregon campus (in Eugene)
  • Visit the Saturday Market (in Eugene)
  • Shop Fifth Street Public Market (in Eugene)
  • Rent a bike and ride along the Willamette River to Alton Baker Park (in Eugene)
  • Tour the region's covered bridges (in Lowell or Cottage Grove)
  • Visit a winery or microbrewery (in the Willamette Valley)
  • River raft on the McKenzie or Willamette Rivers (in the Cascades)
  • Visit the lava fields at scenic Dee Wright Observatory (in the Cascades)

There are many ways to get here by plane, train, bus or car. Consider flying into the Eugene Airport -- from there the Oregon coast is just an hour west and the Cascades are just an hour east!

Eugene has a happening nightlife bolstered by the University of Oregon student population; and great dining, microbreweries and award-winning wineries can be found throughout the region.

Year round the weather in the region is temperate but its a good idea to pack layers. Dress also tends toward the casual side here, although check with your hosts regarding wedding attire.

Pampering and prepping for the festivities? Eugene's Gervais Hair Salon at the Inn at the 5th offers hair styling or book a mani/pedi at The Pearl Day Spa. Need the tux pressed? Look here for cleaners and alterations.

Need craft supplies for decorating the wedding suite or departure vehicle? Hiron's pharmacy, with several locations throughout Eugene offers party supplies and a large and varied selection of trinkets and gag gifts. Eugene's Delta Center near the Valley River Mall is home to Joanne's Crafts. In the vicinity of Springfield's Gateway Mall there are three mega-craft stores, Hobby Lobby, Michael's and Ben Franklin.
