King EstateWINE STORY

Visiting the King family's estate is a journey into unfolding beauty. Visually, King Estate appears palatial year-round, crowning a hilltop bedecked in autumn color, winter snow drifts, spring green or summer sunshine. Like royal robes, the vineyards spread out below fringed by the evergreen Northwest forest.

Inside it gleams of polished wood, stone and glass. Tours showcase the production rooms, with cool and airy spaces like the barrel room. The musky smells of wine fermenting and wafts of lavender and herbs from the gardens intrigue the nose. Embark on a tasting journey with one of the featured wine flights showcasing current vintage selections. Both the tasting room and restaurant are open daily, so visitors' satisfaction is always assured. Exquisite "farm-to-table" dining provides yet one more "wow" factor in the buffet of sensual delights. Collaborative planning between the master gardener, chef and winemaker produce a harmonious dining experience year-round.

One of the largest organic vineyards in the world, King Estate relies on crop diversity, cover crops, beneficial insects and raptors, partnering with the Cascade Raptor Center to provide habitat for rehabilitated raptors. Along with the vineyards, King Estate manages 30 acres (12 ha) of organic gardens and orchards. From lavender fields to sheep, the estate is diverse. Their ecological commitment also includes the production of honey and solar power.
