Top City Lights Views

Published: November 05, 2020

Right in the heart of Eugene is Skinners Butte — a perfect "lovers' lane" overlooking the city skyline. Drive or hike to the top of the hill for a spectacular 360 degree view of Eugene - Springfield. From here you can see the University of Oregon's Autzen Stadium, Willamette Street pointing direct to the opposing butte — Spencers Butte, and snow dusted mountains ringing the valley. Several roads in the vicinity offer sparkling vistas as you drive, such as Chambers and City View.  Other great lookouts require some hiking but the views are fantastic! If you choose to hike to a vista for city light views, please make sure the park is open, and bring a flashlight. Always let someone know where you are going and do not trespass on private property.

You can also soak up the city lights from the upper floors of downtown Eugene hotels like the Graduate Eugene and The Gordon, or relax with city views from a rooftop restaurant at The Gordon or Hyatt Place.
