Marinas & Boat Ramps

Launch your boat at a boat ramp or dock at a nearby marina to re-fuel or settle in for the night. Darling's Marina & RV Resort on Siltcoos Lake, the largest coastal lake in the state, offers year-round moorage, camping and opportunities to catch a large variety of fish including perch, catfish, trout and steelhead. In Historic Old Town Florence, the recreational marina on the waterfront provides visitors with a boat ramp, fuel dock, river access, and hundreds of moorage slips.

At Fern Ridge Reservoir, just 10 miles (16 km) west of Eugene, boaters will enjoy their newly renovated marina where you can rent a slip or launch your boat and enjoy this popular lake, known for its northerly winds which create perfect conditions for sailing. Other nearby marina and boat launching locations include Dorena Reservoir in Cottage Grove and Dexter Reservoir in the town of Lowell.

If you are traveling on the McKenzie River, the McKenzie River Shuttle will move your vehicle and boat trailer for you to your destination take-out location.

What is Algae Bloom?

Warm weather and low water levels can sometimes lead to natural algae blooms in still lakes, ponds, or reservoirs. While they may look colorful, some blooms can be harmful to people and pets. When you spot one, it’s best to skip swimming, fishing, or paddling in that area and choose another beautiful spot nearby.

While this condition can impact any body of water, our most vulnerable and popular water destinations to watch include Fern Ridge Reservoir, Dexter Reservoir, Dorena Reservoir, Fall Creek Reservoir, Hills Creek Reservoir, Cougar Reservoir, Cottage Grove Reservoir, Siltcoos Lake, Golden Garden Ponds, Walterville Pond and Odell Lake. Check with the Oregon Health Authority for current advisories.
