At the Hult Center for the Performing Arts, resident companies include concert choir, symphony and ballet. Independent companies, academies and schools across the region produce chamber music, big band, jazz, choirs, opera, ballet, tap, contemporary dance, ballroom, circus arts, comedy, acting, film and more. 

In early summer the Oregon Bach Festival draws classical aficionados to Eugene for deep dives into J.S. Bach's masterpieces. And in August, The Shedd Institute presents the Oregon Festival of American Music with explorations into music's historical impacts in the U.S. The Eugene Symphony also conducts two free outdoor performances every summer.
