Central Coast Food Trail

Explore more than 30 unique businesses offering a taste of the Central Oregon Coast.

As with the other food trails across Oregon, the Central Coast Food Trail highlights businesses that are committed to sustainable practices and locally sourced ingredients. Take your time exploring the coast between Florence and Lincoln City and you can find:

  • Fresh caught seafood served in gourmet restaurants or sold in seafood markets

  • Bakeries, breweries, cafés and coffee roasters using wild foraged and locally grown ingredients

  • Lodging properties where the views are as phenomenal as the food

One Day in Florence on the Central Coast Food Trail

Start your morning with fresh roasted coffee from River Roasters. Enjoy the view of the Siuslaw River and the historic Siuslaw River Bridge from the back patio, or stroll over to the Florence Farmers' Market for fresh produce, a wide variety of fruits, and cooking demonstrations. The Mustard Seed also has cooking classes along with arts and crafts workshops, so this is sure to be an educational visit as well as a delicious one!

Back in Historic Old Town Florence, stroll through the shops and galleries on Bay Street and along the boardwalk. Florence is a town known for its public art as well as food. Look for the painted sea lions that are found throughout town, snap a photo in front of one of the many murals, or marvel at the other sculptures that are part of the city's collection. Then enjoy lunch at the Homegrown Public House & Brewery, featuring salads, flatbreads, sandwiches, and of course, in-house brewed beers.

Continue your shopping and savoring at the Bodega Wine Parlor, with a wide selection of organic wines. Next, pop into the quirky, pirate-themed tasting room of Stillwagon Distillery. Their selection of rum and other spirits is sure to please weary sailors and travelers. Expect to find traditional rums and infusions of tropical flavors, along with spirits made with Northwestern ingredients such as the delightfully tart Cranberry Rum.

End your day in Florence with dinner at Nosh Eatery. The seasonal menu is full of seafood and meat dishes as well as vegan and vegetarian options, and everything is made from scratch in house, down to the salad dressings! Then when you are finally full, enjoy the beautiful drive up Highway 101 and stay overnight at the Heceta Lighthouse B&B. The six rooms in the assistant lightkeeper's cottage offer stunning views no matter which one you stay in, and the experience is completed the next morning with their decadent multi-course breakfast feast — one of the absolute best meals on the Oregon coast!

Travel Tips

Because open hours can vary, please confirm seasonal hours of operation with each business when planning your visit. While traveling through rural areas, you may encounter livestock, wild animals, harvest equipment and cyclists. The boardwalks and ports of coastal towns are also working areas full of boats, equipment, and wildlife such as sea lions. Slow down, pay attention to your surroundings, and enjoy the sights and smells of the Oregon coast.

The working farms and docks along this trail provide unique and engaging experiences. Please be respectful when visiting, and be cautious around farm and fishing equipment. Children must be supervised at all times and you should be prepared to follow all site-specific rules. For your safety and comfort wear appropriate footwear and bring sun protection and water.

When to visit

High season is typically April - October, but many locations on this trail are open year-round.
