Imagine a utopia of harmonious celebration and individual creative expression. Colorful costumes, delicious food and captivating entertainment elevate this unique festival into a fantastical immersive experience. Nestled in the forest along the banks of the Long Tom River, the Oregon Country Fair features vaudeville, circus acts, spoken word, wandering musicians, face painting, parades and other perennial favorites. Fairgoers will enjoy 17 stages of entertainment, more than 80 food booths dishing up everything from international dishes to comfort-food favorites; and over 300 artisan booths displaying and selling homemade crafts.

The Oregon Country Fair's three day festival began in 1969 as a school fundraiser and has since blossomed into a deeply beloved local event. Entertainment includes top touring musicians as well as vaudevillians, aerial acts, spoken word, and participatory dance and performance workshops. Colorful public art can be found everywhere, from metal work to giant puppets. Stroll the paths or find a place to sit and watch it all float past.

Held on 500 acres (202 ha) of wooded private property in Veneta, the Oregon County Fair harnesses its own sophisticated systems to run all aspects of the annual event, from environmental impact reduction to entertainment to security. "Fair families" meet year after year to maintain the grounds and run the booths. The Oregon Country Fair is a non-profit philanthropic organization that also brings together numerous non-profits and displays around alternative energy, native plants, conservation and social justice — demonstrating an environmentally conscious community created by choice.
