Bring your own boat or stand up paddle board and experience the unique sightseeing opportunities while out on the lake. The year-round average water temperature of 43 degrees (6C) mixed with the volcanic rock-filtered water brings a natural clearness to the lake, allowing paddlers to see 200 feet (61M) below the surface. Spot treasures like a sunken, preserved forest. Note: Power boats of any kind are not allowed on Clear Lake. Swimming is not recommended due to the near freezing temperature.
