Eugene Symphony’s story began in 1965 with a bold notion – that Eugene could and should have its own symphony orchestra. Over the next 50 years, that idea, first dreamt of in a living room and nurtured by visionary volunteers and dedicated musicians, has grown into one of America's preeminent regional orchestras – one that has hosted music's greatest superstars, launched the international careers of talented conductors, and become one of the cornerstones of the performing arts in Oregon. Conducted by Music Director Francesco Lecce-Chong.
