King-Castle Trail #4326, Upper Castle Rock

This 4.1 miles (6.5 km) singletrack trail is arduous with some switchbacks and rocky climbs. The trail connects with USFS Trail #3506 - Castle Rock. The ride up to the summit is worth the work. Bike through dense, 600 year Douglas-fir forest on an unused logging road. Views of the Three Sisters Mountains. Directions: From Hwy 126 turn on to McKenzie Scenic Road. After entering the town of Rainbow, drive across the covered bridge and turn left. Then follow signs for the trailhead. Park at King Castle trailhead.
