This difficult two-mile (3.2K) out-and-back hike gains over 1,000 feet (304.8M) in elevation. The trail leads to what was once the Mount June fire look-out–all that remains now is the stone foundation. The views are beautiful. One-way on this trail often averages one hour. Directions: From Eugene take HWY 58 27 Miles to NF-5833, in less then a mile turn right on NF-509, turn left and take NF-511 for 6.3 miles until a sharp left on NF-1721. All Wheel Drive Vehicles recommended for this trail.
