The only Nobel Peace park in the U.S. honoring American Nobel Peace Laureates is in Eugene. Low walls, serene alcoves and a flowing path through a beautiful landscaped garden offers a tranquil setting. Enjoy peaceful contemplation while viewing 26 plaques honoring each Nobel Prize recipient. An excellent educational excursion or point of interest for tour groups. The grounds cover two-acres of Eugene's Alton Baker Park close to the Ferry Street Bridge and at the base of the DeFazio Footbridge. World Peace Day is annually on September 21.
