The Oregon Coast Trail is a 382-mile (614K) hiking adventure that runs along the Oregon Coast. Commonly broken into ten sections, Florence acts as the trailhead for two sections. Know the tides before starting these hikes. Watch for the protected Western Snowy Plover during nesting season. Section 5 (Florence to Waldport) This section is mostly along beaches leading from one scenic state park to another. Section 6 (Florence to North Bend) Except for two water crossings along HWY 101, this entire section is along the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.
