In Oregon, the trail travels 118 miles (189 km) over Lane County's Diamond Peak and through the Three Sisters Mountains. Considered a scenic section ideal for day or weekend hikes, the Oregon route traverses two wilderness areas and skirts a third with diverse landscapes from forests to lava fields. Access the trail just east of Willamette Pass Ski Area on Hwy 58 or off Hwy 242 near Dee Wright Observatory. DAY-USE FEE AREA/RECREATION PASS REQUIRED.
