New Visitor Services Staff Welcomed

Published: May 25, 2021

Eugene, OR - As leisure travel expands in the coming weeks we encourage all residents and visitors to:

  • Plan ahead and make reservations whenever possible
  • Be patient with employees who continue to adjust to masking guidelines
  • Recognize that many businesses are short staffed and are working hard to provide you a great experience

As COVID vaccination rates have increased and restrictions lessened, Travel Lane County is prepared to reopen its visitor center. Over the Memorial Day weekend, staff will welcome residents and visitors who want to connect to great experiences in our region. Locally and Oregon-made retail items are available for purchase and a full range of recreational permits are available.

Visitor center hours will be 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday, May 28 and 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and on Memorial Day.

Travel Lane County is excited to announce that oversight of the visitor center will be overseen by Hayley Radich, Director of Partner and Community Engagement. Staffing the visitor center will be three new staff:

Megan Temple

Megan Temple, Visitor Center Manager

Megan is a native Oregonian who grew up locally. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwest Christian University and recently achieved her Master of Arts in Non-profit Leadership from Bushnell University.  She most recently worked as an undergraduate admissions counselor at Bushnell University.

Brian Saunders

Brian Saunders, Programs Support Coordinator

Brian graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Geography and came to Oregon to participate in the Resource Assistance for Rural Economies (RARE) Americorps program through the University of Oregon. Brian has been the outreach coordinator for the Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative, and has utilized office space at Travel Lane County.

Janae

Jenae Steele, Office and Outreach Specialist
