Eugene, Or — Travel Oregon announced $390,000 in grants to 19 organizations through its Wine Country License Plate Matching Grants Program. Grant awards ranged in value from $7,000 to $50,000 and Travel Lane County was awarded $7,775.
"We were excited to hear that our grant was funded. The reputation of our exceptional wines helps our region shine with convention planners and their attendees. We look forward to supporting those messages with new photos and videos that will be funded thanks to this grant," noted Juanita Metzler, CMP, CGMP, SEPC, Travel Lane County's Senior Director, Conventions.
The specific objectives of this grant will be to secure a minimum of 5-10 new high-quality images and 1-5 minutes of b-roll that will provide an opportunity to develop sales materials including a pull-up display for trade show use. Development of 1-2 consumer videos will be used in a focused pre-roll campaign in fiscal year 2024. Images and video will be integrated into advertising as well as paid, owned and earned channels for leisure and convention marketing which includes our website, newsletters and marketing materials. Additionally, the project will include a component of influencer programming. This will bring an influencer into the region for an inclusive wine country experience in late summer or late fall/early winter.
Convention activity continues to grow and Travel Lane County is excited to welcome approximately 250 attendees to this year's WineMaker Magazine Conference. This conference follows an exciting month of wine activities throughout Oregon. May is Oregon Wine Month and there's still time to take advantage of terrific experiences at area wineries during the Memorial Day weekend.
