Farmers Markets & Farm Stands

Roadside farm stands along Eugene's River Road (toward Junction City) and farmers' markets throughout the county, offer organic vegetables, nuts, and fruits in the spring and summer growing seasons. Delight your palate with the fresh taste of locally grown food such as tomatoes, hazelnuts, potatoes, and a wide variety of orchard fruits.

U-pick farms allow visitors to walk into the fields and select their choice of fresh fruits including berries, apples, peaches, cherries and rhubarb. In the fall, several farms have pumpkin patches where customers can choose their own pumpkins or walk among apple orchards and taste the fresh apple cider.

With abundant moisture and sedimentary-based soil, the fertile Willamette Valley provides ideal conditions for farming. This agriculturally rich area produces a surplus of goods that thrive in this climate, including wine grapes, hops, grass seed and lavender. Help support the local farmers and sustainable food systems that contribute to the health and vitality of the entire community. Find a directory of natural food stores and garden stores.
