Performing Arts & Theater

Discover Eugene's robust performing arts scene with talented artists and diverse cultural art forms. International headliners and national tours book shows in the region's esteemed venues and at festivals alongside outstanding local talent.

At the Hult Center for the Performing Arts, resident companies include concert choir, symphony and ballet. Independent companies, academies and schools across the region produce chamber music, big band, jazz, choirs, opera, ballet, tap, contemporary dance, ballroom, circus arts, comedy, acting, film and more.

In early summer the Oregon Bach Festival draws classical aficionados to Eugene for deep dives into J.S. Bach's masterpieces. And in August, The Shedd Institute presents the Oregon Festival of American Music with explorations into music's historical impacts in the U.S. The Eugene Symphony also conducts two free outdoor performances every summer.

Performance Groups, Venues & Organizations

Inspired performing arts organizations continuously create local magic. Stages from the Matthew Knight Arena and Three Rivers Casino to the John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts and the WOW Hall provide the optimal atmosphere for a variety of acts. Plan a night out for dinner theater, poetry reading, cultural dance or improv. There is always something happening!
