People generally agree that pizza is a great way to make everybody happy. Pizza certainly pairs well with lots of things — a cold, craft beer; a robust red wine; a day of physical exertion from hiking or yard work; a movie night; hanging out with friends; feeding the kids; a school fundraiser or class party; a business meeting or brown bag lunch; a romantic picnic and so many other occasions. Sometimes it's a family's go-to holiday meal and sometimes it's the quickest lunch to grab on your lunch break. Whether it's delivery, take out or dine in; pizza is delicious and — to some of us — essential.
The Wheel APizza Pub
Best organic, homegrown experience
On the edge of the Whiteaker Neighborhood, this comfortable pub pours craft beer and slices up "homegrown" pizza. Here you can also order a take-out kale Caesar salad, home sauerkraut and their pub-brewed beers by the can. As for pizza pies, sports fan should try the "Mar-ee-O-tah" with smoked chicken, charred pineapple and pickled jalapeño. We also like the "(V)ishny" with tempeh sausage, peppers, red onions and herb cashew cheese. Kids can enjoy organic house sodas in cans!

Coburg Pizza Company
Their "Edible Love" can also be served with award-winning wings
These gourmet pizzas elevate casual dining to a chef-curated experience. Their pizzas take time and they offer a robust menu of "reimagined" options, but you can still build your own if you wish. Generous, quality ingredients has made this a destination pizzeria with two locations offering curbside pick up. Size up their Coburg Pizza pie side by side with the "other guy's" pizza photo on their website under FAQs. Yep, this is a lavish pizza place with appetizer pizzas and dessert pizzas too! Decision making may be the largest hurdle here, and don't forget to order sides also.
Pegasus Smokehouse Pizza
A family-owned favorite with three locations
Pegasus sprung from its original UO campus location to two additional Eugene restaurants (Oakway Center and South Eugene). Their gourmet pies are built on house-made dough and fresh ingredients that have become a community staple. We recommend their signature "Pegasus Chicken" which features a BBQ-base, BBQ chicken, mozzarella, fontina and red onion. You also don't want to miss their amazing vegetarian options including the "Three Sisters", a simple red sauce pizza loaded with three delicious cheeses, and the "Apollo" with a garlic and oil base topped with mushrooms, red onions, cloves of roasted garlic, chèvre cheese, mozzarella and fresh basil.
Track Town Pizza
A UO campus tradition and pre-and-post game stop
Duck fans have been filling these booths for decades and the restaurant is full of track, football and basketball memorabilia. This is where you get your giant, cheesy pizzas loaded with traditional favorites from pepperoni to olives. Of course, their best pizzas are named after track events and we recommend the "Heptathlon" for meat lovers and the "Pole Vault" for vegetarians. Track Town Pizza delivers for free with a $10 minimum.
Track Town Pizza has been serving the Eugene area since 1977. Located on Franklin Boulevard across from Matthew Knight Arena and the University of…
Drop Bear Brewery
Best craft beer paired with pizza
In South Eugene, this fun neighborhood brewery offers inside and outside dining, pulling delicious pizzas out of the oven to go with your beer. A casual scene, there is also an adjacent food truck serving Thai food for any one not wanting pizza (!).
Opened by two Australia-born world travelers, Drop Bear Brewery is sure to provide a unique experience to the beer and food scene in Eugene. Drop Bear…
Sy's New York Pizza
Best late night pizza by the slice
University of Oregon students know that this is where you get your pizza fix late at night after studying or after the party. Plate-sized, thin crust cheesy goodness served up super hot and sprinkled generously with pepper flakes and/or parmesan cheese... that is what college kids live on. Cheese and pepperoni are their go-to pies. Pick up or delivery through Grub Hub, Postmates and Uber Eats.
Mezza Luna
Consistently high ranking with local "best" awards and on review sites
This popular pizza restaurant has three locations (downtown Eugene, Crescent Village in Eugene and downtown Springfield). With GrubHub delivery or pick up, you can enjoy great pizza anywhere. They offer pizza slices all day long, small Gluten-free pizzas and a large vegetarian selection including "Stinky Garden" for garlic lovers and "Marge" with Roma tomatoes, basil and tomato sauce. We wonder — is that named after The Simpsons?
